Leftover Tips

At the end of every Thanksgiving feast, we are faced with the question: "What do I do with the leftovers?" Stomachs may be full immediately after the meal, but soon family and friends will be hungry for more delicious holiday treats. With a can of soup and a bag of stuffing, meals following Thanksgiving dinner can also be flavorful and innovative.

  • Turkey Noodle Soup Express and Turkey and Broccoli Alfredo are the perfect way to use the leftover food and extend your celebration.
  • With your extra puff pastry sheets, dress up leftover turkey with Turkey Stuffing Bundles. Gather your imagination, as well extra vegetables, stuffing, cranberry sauce and turkey to create this tasty puff pastry dish.
  • You can freeze cooked pieces of turkey for up to four months. Freeze your leftovers in dinner-size portions so that you don't thaw more than you need for any given meal.
  • Toss cubes or bits of turkey or ham with hot cooked pasta (penne, rigatoni) and cheese sauce using Campbell’s® Cheddar Cheese soup.
  • Layer turkey or ham slices and Swiss cheese between sourdough bread; grill and serve with cranberry sauce.
  • Stir together gravy, vegetables and chunks of turkey; top with mashed potatoes and bake until lightly browned.
  • For moist, flavorful leftovers, reheat with Swanson® broth instead of water to bring those dishes back to life.
